Mechanical Contractor Estimating System

Background

FastEST, Inc. was incorporated in 1994 with the sole mission of producing the most technologically advanced mechanical estimating system available. As a result of intensive research and development, we are proud to offer the FastPIPE™ mechanical estimating system.

...Click, Click, Click

The FastPIPE™ Computerized Estimating System for Microsoft Windows. makes mechanical estimating both easier and more accurate. We combined professional estimating techniques with modern computer technology to create this state-of-the-art estimating system that can be used before and after the bid. You'll be amazed at how the introduction of point-and-click technology, along with interactive graphics will simplify and improve your current estimating procedures. The basic system requires no more than an IBM.-compatible computer running Microsoft Windows. ... And FastPIPE™ is priced considerably less than many competing systems. Our base FastPIPE™ software package includes the following standard features (you can click on any of the pictures below for even more information...)

Interactive Display Graphics. The FastPIPE™ system was designed from the ground up to provide maximum speed and ease-of-use under the Microsoft Windows. environment. All FastPIPE™ screens have the standard Microsoft Windows. look-and-feel and are mouse-enabled allowing you to rapidly navigate from one part of the program to another. In fact, if you already know how to use other Microsoft Windows. programs, you will probably already know how to use many of the features within FastPIPE™!

Extensive Master Catalog. With a large master catalog containing over 40,000 unique items, FastPIPE™ can handle all of your plumbing and HVAC piping takeoffs. Manufacturer's list pricing with discounts are used for generating detailed material lists. The system includes its own unit labor rates and is available with labor rates from MCAA's "Labor Estimating Manual" or NAPHCC's "Labor Calculator III".

Customized Specifications. FastPIPE™ allows you to define customized specs and takeoff screens for each individual job. Additionally, you can build your own library of specs and takeoffs, virtually eliminating the need to build them from scratch, saving time and reducing the chance of errors in your estimates.

Detailed Material Lists. FastPIPE™ makes it easy to produce detailed material lists that can also be used at order time and during project management. With FastPIPE™ you won't have to throw away your estimation work after you win the job!

Microsoft Excel. Support. The FastPIPE™ system allows you to download the labor and material takeoff to a Microsoft Excel. spreadsheet for your final bid summary. Our standard spreadsheet provides support for equipment, fixtures, labor rates, rentals, taxes, and many other job related costs, allowing detailed analysis and reporting. You can even customize this spreadsheet to meet your business needs!

Digitizer Compatibility. The FastPIPE™ system was designed to work with a large number of commercial digitizers available from vendors such as Calcomp, SummaGraphics, GTCO, and others. Chances are, if you already have a digitizer, it will work with our system!
